Here’s a portrait session with the beautiful Victoria Lwebangila, captured in a Cape Town city as well as nature setting. The idea is a follow-on from a previous shoot, to contrast two close-by, but different locations. When Victoria saw the nature images, she came up with this story from the top of her head:

“With the giant fallen tree, the story is complete — a wood nymph or forest witch comes to life to care for her forest. At first all seems well, and she enjoys the sunset on her face as she walks her ancient path. But the deeper she gets, she realises that all is not as it should be — the trees are dead. HER tree is dead. Murdered. Its corpse drying in the sun, no other trees to shelter it with their leaves. Her home is gone. She vows a dreadful revenge on the people who had forgotten about the balance.”
